from an idealist’s standpoint

it doesn’t matter whether you see
reality for what it is

          (because what             (for things are
          is the truth?                 so rarely
is there one?               what they seem
it is a fallacy                and even if it is true
to believe                    in that specific time frame
that reality                   you cannot always trust
is two-dimensional)     the eyes, the mind, the heart)

what matters is not the steps
it takes to remove the dissonance
between reality and your dreams
what matters is how much fun you have
with the dissonance

the difference between
a truth and something being true
is that one is constant
and the other is change

and together
they create
a ripple effect
